Faced with pressure from its customers, SAP is backing his plan to impose a maintenance contract "Enterprise Support" to all its customers.

The basic contract (Standard Support) will again be offered to all new clients from the publisher, the price difference between the two contracts being 4 points: Standard Support costs 18% of the annual license and Enterprise Support 22%. Note that Standard Support took a passing point higher than in 2009.

For existing customers, a delay was granted until March 15, 2010 to choose between the two contracts. Enterprise customers who go through an integrator have until April 30.

In July 2008, SAP had imposed its customers to switch to Enterprise Support, which had particularly angered the club of French-speaking users of SAP, the USF. Jean Leroux, president of USF welcomed this decision.
